Podien Cottage in Aquitaine, France sleeps 4 people. Nestled on the working vineyard Côtes de Blaye, lies Podien Cottage. Once the workers' cottage, the cottage has been restored and filled with modern luxuries to make this stay effortless.

An open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area is on the first floor, with wonderful views over the vineyard. The kitchen has all the appliances you need for your stay. A circular dining table sits in the centre of the room surrounded by four wooden chairs. The lounge is on the opposite side of the kitchen and has a large sofa with cushions for you to relax into. Next to the lounge is a tall stone wall with a traditional stove and fireplace to keep you warm on winter nights.

Both bedrooms are located on the ground floor. Both are spacious rooms with homey details such as a patterned headboard, long mirrors and paintings hung on the walls. Each has an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. One en suite has a washing machine on hand if needed and a stand-alone bath in the other. The bedrooms both have double beds, however if a family are staying, one of the double beds can be converted into two singles.

The working vineyard Côte de Blaye is in the Bordeaux region and provides the perfect backdrop to your holiday. Outside lies a newly built patio terrace with a long swimming pool to one side against the terrace wall. The wall provides privacy from the vineyard and local village. Sun loungers surround the pool for you to relax under the sun. The terrace also has outdoor seating and a BBQ area, set up for long summer evenings watching the sunset while cooking a delicious meal together. Make sure you bring marshmallows to toast on the outdoor fire pit, ideal for gathering together and keeping warm under the stars.

Podien Cottage is on the village side of the vineyard, with an uninterrupted view of the vines and estuary in the backdrop. The cottage is a short walk from the village tennis courts, which you are invited to use. The local village has all your essentials, including a village boulangerie, a small grocery shop, a butcher and a pharmacy. On a Sunday morning the village hosts oyster stalls on the main street.
