Wasdale Hall Lodge in Gosforth, Cumbria sleeps 4 people. Stay in a Lake District beauty spot, once voted Britain’s best view. Wasdale Hall Lodge sits just yards from the south-western end of Wastwater, England’s deepest and most tranquil lake. You’ll be nestled in the remote valley in a sturdy stone cottage renovated with traditional furnishings. 

There is extensive high fell walking and outdoor activities from its door step. The start of the trail routes to Scafell Pike and Great Gable are located a short drive away at the other end of the lake. The nearby village of Nether Wasdale is home to pubs, while Wasdale Head and Gosforth have a local shop and restaurant.

Beyond the mountains the Cumbrian coast and shingle beach at Ravenglass are just a 20-minute drive from the cottage.
