Marwell Lodges in Owslebury, Winchester
"Marwell Lodges" are a lovely collection of modern lodges and log cabins near the south coast of England. Located in Owslebury, near Winchester, Marwell Lodges can give you the perfect blend of peace & quiet; and, for those more adventurous, more outdoor activities than you can shake a stick at. With a choice of lodges sleeping 6 or 8 people, there should be a log cabin to suit your holiday needs.
Marwell Lodges are set in the grounds of Marwell Outdoor Activity Centre - and this is where you get all those outdoor activities, should you require them. There is an aerial adventure course, archery, quad bikes, quad safari, 3G giant swing, air rifles, climbing, orienteering, assault course, clay pigeon shooting, paintball, kayaking, canoeing, zip wires, indoor soft play area and a restaurant. During school holidays you'll find an activity programme running too, so those with children can ensure the nippers have a good time - and you can have some peace and quiet.
You don't have to take part in the activities to have a good time at Marwell Lodges, if exhausting yourself in the outdoors isn't your idea of fun, you can always enjoy some gentle walks around the area - or just take to your own private
hot tub with a good book. After all, it's your holiday, so you're free to do as much or as little as you please.
You have a choice of two types of log cabin at Marwell Lodges: the Hurricane Lodge - which sleeps 6. Or the Spitfire Lodge - which sleeps 8 people. Both types of lodge have a kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine; there is a TV & DVD player; gas and electricity are included too. High chairs can be provided free of charge. And all lodges are double glazed & centrally heated.
Outside you have a verandah to take in that fresh air; and a barbeque to enjoy some al fresco cuisine! And, let's not forget, there is your own private hot tub too.
What's going on around Marwell Lodges
Should you want to get out and discover the area around Marwell Lodges you've got the South Downs National Park right next door. With the city of Winchester just a short drive up the M3. The south coast isn't too far either, with the historic town of Portsmouth being well worth a visit. The seaside towns of Southsea and Bogor Regis are also close at hand for a summers' day on the beach.
Marwell Zoo is only a mile away. With an a few National Trust properties being close to Marwell Lodges too:
