The village backdrop consists of incredible moorland that inspired some of the Brontë sisters' finest literature, and is accurately described in Wuthering Heights as being wild, rugged and barren.
Visit the Brontë sisters' family home, now the Brontë Parsonage Museum, to learn more about the lives of these incredible novelists, before heading to the aptly named Wuthering Heights pub in the village of Stanbury for a refreshing afternoon beverage.
Stroll around nearby Central Park, or head slightly further afield to discover Penistone Hill Country Park, where you will find Brontë Bridge and the stunning Brontë Waterfall.
For a day out filled with adventure, head to the market town of Keighley, home to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, which featured in the film The Railway Children, where you can hop on a steam train and enjoy the incredible moorland views from your window.
