There is a well-stocked general store, a post office which sells wonderful breads and preserves, Longnor craft centre & coffee shop and Cobbles Tea & Coffee shop. Longnor has a fish and chip shop and a small, but delightful childrens park Woodside View is a haven for walkers and cyclists to explore the Tissington and High Peak cycle tracks.
Nearby is Buxton with its eventful Opera House, the Crescent Hotel which has recently opened boasting a 5-star spa and the pavilion Gardens. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both within easy reach, along with numerous National Trust Properties, Parks and Gardens, and delightful historic market towns and villages.
