Whether you are looking for a quick weekend break or to enjoy the cottage for a week or more, this is a great cottage and base to stay to enable you to explore the delights of the Cotswolds. For those wishing to be more active, there are plenty of opportunities locally including golf, horse riding, and fishing. The surrounding countryside makes this an ideal location for walking, running, or cycling.
The nearby Cotswold Water Park has outstanding sporting facilities for all ages including water skiing, cable wakeboarding, sailing, clay pigeon shooting, wildlife walks and angling. Cricklade also has a leisure centre with a gym and swimming pool. Cirencester, the ’capital of the Cotswolds’, is within a 25-minute drive and offers a comprehensive range of shops and services including a supermarket, a wealth of varied independent shops, well regarded restaurants, and unique cafés. There is much Roman history to explore, including an amphitheatre. Swindon is 11 miles away which has a comprehensive range of shops and services, including the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet shopping village, in addition to a full range of entertainment venues including cinemas, ice-skating, bowling, soft play and karting, plus many more. Pub and restaurant 3 miles.
