Stable Lodge in Gattonside near Melrose, The Scottish Borders sleeps 5 people in 2 bedrooms. Stable Lodge near Melrose is on the opposite side of the River Tweed from Melrose sits the small village of Gattonside. Ideal for exploring the Scottish Borders, the village sits between the larger towns of Jedburgh, Kelso and Galashiels. Stable Lodge, as the title suggests forms part of a renovated former stables in the corner position, this provides larger, more spacious rooms than you would find in a typical two bedroom house, or holiday cottage.
Sleeping five comfortably in the two bedrooms upstairs, this is the ideal home away from home for families. Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed whilst bedroom two has a double bed and a single day bed. A toilet is also located upstairs adding a nice little practical touch as the main, luxury shower room is on the ground floor. Downstairs the main living space is excellent, the open plan nature of the space allows for the interaction that we crave when we’re on holiday whether it be a family break or a catch up with your friends. There is a living room with wood burning stove and and Smart TV for those cosy night in. This space opens through to the kitchen/dining room where you will find all you need to prepare and enjoy those special meals.
Those who enjoy a walk will love the location they find themselves in here. Riverside or hill walks will suit anyone from the gentle stroller to the budding expeditionist. Mornings, afternoons, evenings or full days out in the surrounding towns and villages will uncover a plethora of surprises covering everything from country parks and museums to some of the nicest little cafés, bars, pubs and restaurants right through the borders. The nearby train station at Tweedbank allows a day out to Edinburgh on the train and again is a surprisingly quick journey.

Holidays at Stable Lodge run from Friday to Friday, with short breaks also available.
