Set within unspoilt gardens with kadai (combined fire pit and barbecue) and teeming with wildlife, there is a stream, original leat, and two charming original packhorse bridges. From here, walk through woodland to the beach, just a short distance away. Enter into a warm and inviting space comprising a semi-open plan and very cosy living room, complete with 32-inch TV, wood burner and plenty of seating to sink into. A stunning Paul Metalcraft kitchen, uniquely styled with reclaimed iroko worktops, has all you need to prepare any meal whilst the bright and airy dining area has solid oak table and wonderfully upcycled chairs. In a separate building is a very useful utility room and separate shower room, ideal after a day at the beach, along with an outdoor shower and hand held shower for muddy paws.
Venture upstairs to the first bedroom, with garden views, delightful décor and wonderful double bed. Bedroom two is very quaint with double bed and valley views. The third bedroom has twin beds, ideal for children (of all ages!). Portcothan Bay, an award-winning beach, has something for everyone; cliffs, sand dunes, surf and sand and is dog friendly too. Nearby Padstow, with its busy quay, narrow streets, superb restaurants, galleries, and boutique shops is well worth a visit, whilst the coastline here has a plethora of paths, coves and inlets all waiting to be discovered. Enjoy one of the finest cream teas at the nearby farm, or stroll to the well-stocked local beach shop, whilst the revered and scenic Camel Trail, 18 miles of mainly flat pathway all the way to Bodmin is a great way to explore on a bicycle. Wherever your days lead you, return after a fun-filled day to your gorgeous cottage and relax, unwind and recharge ready for tomorrow’s great adventure.
