Delightful, quiet, contemporary, nestled in the village of Longnor, in the Peak National Park, at a historic ancient crossroads. Enter the pretty cottage into a lounge area with the all-important wood burning and then off this area is the kitchen which has a breakfast bar area looking out of the kitchen window. This property has a quirky layout with yet another snug living area leading to a downstairs shower room and up to a fantastic double mezzanine bedroom. The first floor of the house off the main living area boasts a large master bedroom with a walk-in shower en-suite.
Peak cottage is perfect for individuals, couples or friends who want to retreat. You will have immediate access to great walks short or long. Pristine countryside all around from the cottage front door. Just step outside or hop in your car. Set on the Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire border, Longnor is a quaint village with a historic cobbled market square at the heart of it. It is home to a local shop, tearoom, fish and chip shop and traditional food serving pub, all of which are just minutes’ walk from the cottage.
It provides an excellent starting point for many walks that radiate from the village, and for any rock climbers and free runners ‘The Roaches’ and ‘Ramshaw Rocks’ are just 10 minutes away. The famous spa town of Buxton, home to the Opera House, Pavilion Gardens and Health Spa is around a 15-minute drive, and the ever-popular market town of Bakewell around 20-minutes. Dovedale, home to the famous steppingstones, Ashbourne and Chatsworth House can all be reached in around 30-minutes as can Britain’s premier theme park Alton Towers. Pub within 1 mile.
