There’s also plenty of practical space in this elegant house - the utility room is tucked behind the lounge space and houses all the functional necessities of a stay away from home, such as storage space, a washing machine, and a tumble dryer. Upstairs, the twin room is beautifully decorated and would suit two children or two adults. The double room has a beautiful balcony space for enjoying estuary views and letting in the cool air on summer nights, and the master suite is the star of the show with its own seating area as well as a comfortable double bed overlooking those river views. What a stunning sight to wake up to in the morning! There are two beautiful bathrooms; the downstairs shower room is compact and contemporary, while the upstairs family bathroom is more spacious, with a bath, drencher shower, and plenty of light from the skylight for watching the stars from your bubbly bath.
Milford Haven is a busy little town overlooking the Cleddau Waterway. The once-thriving docks have been replaced with a picturesque marina with boutique shops and upmarket restaurants, offering freshly-caught fine dining with delightful views. Moored boats and transatlantic liners are known to pop by this enterprising harbour town and the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs right through the town, so you’re ideally located to start a day’s hiking from here. The award-winning theatre has a fantastic cinema, restaurant, and bar, and is a great place to spend rainy days at the cinema or decadent evening watching plays. There’s also a bowling alley along the waterfront for kid-friendly (and big kid-friendly) activities, as well as supermarkets for stocking up on essentials. The maritime and heritage museum is well worth a visit, showcasing the rich history of Britain’s most ancient port with an interesting audio trail and displays explaining the varied occupation of port workers over decades of transformation.
