The Firs Cottage in Stoke Prior has recently been refurbished to a very high standard in 2021 to ensure guests have an extremely comfortable stay. Set within 24 acres of fields and woodlands and surrounded by open countryside, this is a great semi-detached, Grade II listed retreat to relax in or use as a base from which to explore the stunning area. You have use of a wood burner, perfect for a winter break to cosy up in front of, and a lovely patio area overlooking the large pond and fountain whilst enjoying the evening sun. The well-equipped kitchen has all you need to rustle up a lovely meal and the adjoining bedrooms are spacious and have stunning views from each window.
Just over 1 mile will take you to the village of Stoke Prior where you can enjoy walks along the canal watching the barges sail by, head out into the picturesque quiet countryside or enjoy a meal or drinks at one of the many eateries and pubs. For more amenities and great shopping, the traditional market town of Bromsgrove is 4 miles away.
Visit the Clent and the Walton Hills for more beautiful walks or cycling, or spend a day at Avoncroft Museum, an open air museum with over thirty buildings that have been saved and relocated to Bromsgrove. Where else can you see windmills next to Dr Who’s tardis? There are also wonderful stately homes to visit nearby, including the National Trust’s Hanbury Hall and Gardens and Hagley Hall, an 18th-century iconic house. A lovely craft centre is close by, which is home to twelve craft studio workshops, where the experts will be delighted to share their knowledge and show their work - and of course you can make purchases in the gift shop. Further afield there much more to discover of the beautiful area, including the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds. The cities of Worcester and Birmingham are within easy reach by car or rail.
