Bucklands Rise in Bucks Cross Nearr Bideford, Devon sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms. Bucklands Rise near Bideford; buckland Rise is a two-bedroom terraced chalet comfortably sleeping four guests with accommodation comprising one double bedroom and one twin zip and link (can be double on request), a shower room with a tumble dryer and an open plan living/dining space with walk through into the kitchen which has a washing machine and the minimum expected appliances for your holiday including an ironing board, iron and hair dryer. If you fancy sitting outside there are four folding chairs available and the park has ample other seating areas dotted around perfect for picnics.
There are also various other seasonal activities available such as crazy golf, multi-sports court, indoor and outdoor swimming pools (passes can be purchased at reception), outdoor play area, soft play area, mini assault course, restaurant/bar and amusements.
Conveniently located by the A39 Atlantic Highway, the park is 17 miles from the regional capital town of Barnstaple with its many cafés and restaurants, Queens Theatre, multi-screen cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool, a purpose-built tennis centre with indoor and outdoor courts and an indoor trampoline centre. The popular port town of Bideford which sits on the Torridge estuary is just 8 miles away.
North Devon is famed for its fantastic natural attractions such as Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’, the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages such as Lynton & Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and the world-famous Clovelly Village, all with awe-inspiring scenery. If stunning beaches are your thing, then the region will leave you spoilt for choice with Saunton, Woolacombe, Croyde and Westward Ho! Beaches - all within easy reach by car.
The fantastic South West Coastal Path runs through the region’s rugged coastline and is perfect for walkers and view seekers offering 90 miles of stunning walks. You can walk down to the beach from Bideford Bay, and explore some lovely country walks at Bucks Mills. The popular Tarka Trail can be accessed locally and provides the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line on foot or by bicycle. For a day with a difference why not take a trip across to Lundy Island, home to England’s first statutory Marine Nature Reserve. Measuring just 3 miles by ¾ mile, this entire island has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and trips regularly depart from either Bideford or Ilfracombe.
