What really makes Swallowdale Holiday Home a lovely place to holiday is its location. Brundall is a quiet town, around 7 miles east of Norwich. You can spend time walking in the countryside - of which Norfolk has plenty! Or make the most of the waterways - hire a motor cruiser and travel into Norwich via the river. Should you want to visit Norwich, and not take a boat, you can easily drive into the city. There are quiet roads leading into the city, so you can always take a cycle ride in - I love to cycle into Norwich from the east coast. Norwich has plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs to choose from; with the Riverside area having a good choice, and an Odeon cinema.

The east coast also makes for a good day out. You can enjoy all the seaside entertainment you can handle at Great Yarmouth; or try Lowestoft, the most easterly point of the UK, with its large sandy beach. Southwold is a little further south, and a popular destination for a stroll along the beach - and maybe a pint of Adnams beer.

If you have younger children in tow, I'd recommend a day at BeWILDerwood (10 miles from Swallowdale Holiday Home) - this treehouse festooned oasis in the Norfolk Broads is brilliant; our children certainly loved it when they were younger.

For a day on the water, by the sea, in the countryside, or in the city - Swallowdale Holiday Home is the place to be!
