over the world for its universities. The radiate from the Carfax Tower,
and most of the academic buildings are within an easy walking distance.

learn about the historic city centre, and the famous university buildings. A trip to
St Mary's Church Tower will give you a great view over the famous colleges.
Oxford has often been used to film and TV locations, and has plenty of literary links too.
If you're a fan of Inspector Morse, you can take a tour which visits some of his best
known cases. And Christ Church College was the setting for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films.
Away from the city centre, you'll find places where you can relax. The River Cherwll offers you a
chance to take a punt ride. Or have an amble around the rural walkways in Christ Church Meadows.
Enjoy some time in one of the many bars, restaurants and cafes, or visit the Apollo Theatre or Georgian
Oxford Playhouse. How ever you wish to spend you time during your cottage holiday, Oxford will have
something for you.
