Iliaktida (The Greek name means ray of sunshine!) is a well established traditional Greek family house set in mature, enclosed gardens. The house has just undergone renovation and the result is a lovely, spacious villa on 2 floors offering very flexible accommodation to an extended family or a group of friends travelling together. The traditional Greek island style is evident throughout and many items of furniture are hand crafted antiques. The brand new pool is beautifully set into the lawned garden and a shaded pool house, with many facilities, has been provided to make al fresco dining easy so there is no need to move from the pool by day! The tranquil garden setting, combined with small gymnasium and games room make this an excellent choice. Lovely sea views from the living room balcony and the proximity of the beach and facilities at Porto Koukla, Agios Sostis and Keri complete the perfection!
Accommodation for Iliaktida : >Upper level (main entrance) into living/dining room with balcony gives extensive views across the southern part of the island to the coast and the sea. (The living room also offers two narrow single built-in sofas which could sleep 2 small children if required) Double bedroom with adjacent shower room. Twin bedroom with adjacent bathroom. Lower level (outside stairs lead to external entrance) offering 2 separate suites (each with own access) One double bedroom with en suite shower room and one twin bedroom with en suite shower room.(both these suites offer a small fridge also) Gymnasium and playroom with various games and a single bed plus shower room. Outside covered pool house with BBQ, outdoor kitchen fully equipped with fridge, sink and 2 ring electric hob for outdoor dining. This also offers a shower room with WC.
Location of Iliaktida : Situated in a generous, enclosed garden in a rural area 800 metres from the village of Lithakia (there is a small bakery offering some groceries 400 metres from the villa). The village has minimarkets and a handful of tavernas, and just under two kilometres from the villa is the nearest beach at Porto Koukla. A little further away the small but bustling resort of Agios Sostis with a sandy beach and a selection of seafront tavernas beckons. The resort of Keri with its large sweeping bay, and small stretch of sandy beach backed by fish tavernas, is just under 6 klms away. The airport is a 15 minute drive away.
