"This stunning home is set overlooking the Atlantic ocean less than a mile from a shale Beach, 2.5 miles from Kinvarra, a harbour village with seafood restaurants, quaint pubs and home to Dunquaire castle, just 40 minutes from Galway City. It is tastefully furnished throughout with immaculately landscaped gardens to enjoy the views with lots of entertainment for kids from the swings, slide, covered sand pit to a large wooden playhouse, 2 adult bikes and 2 children's bikes all for your enjoyment.

Property Details

"This property is located on the Doors peninsula with panoramic sea views. It is a short walk from a number of small beaches and 1.5 miles from Traught blue flag beach. It is also close to the picturesque fishing village of Kinvara in south County Galway with its many restaurants and pubs with traditional Irish music for night time craic.

Kinvara is a quaint fishing village renowned for its medieval castle; Dunguaire which hosts night time medieval banquets for visitors. Kinvara is host to 2 famous festivals namely ""Cookoo Fleadh"" at the start of May which celebrates the beginning of summer with Irish poetry, music and dance throughout the village pubs and at an open air concert of traditional Irish music and dance. Kinvara also hosts a festival at the end of August ""Cruinniu na mBad"" or ""Gathering of the Boats"" which is an ancient festival which attracts hundreds of boats including the largest collection of native Galway Hookers in the world in addition to the village again hosting an open air concert of traditional Irish music and dance. Kinvara also hosts its own local St. Patrick's parade and festival each S. Patrick's weekend.

Carraig also faces onto the spectacular Burren landscape across the bay, a world famous limestone pavement national park that stretches almost 4000 acres with its wide variety of exotic flora and fauna which is a haven for biologists, geologists, botanists and people with a love of nature like hill walkers.

Dunguaire Castle - situated in Kinvara village, this medieval castle has nightly banquets of food and entertainment for visitors.
Bunratty Castle & Folk Park - This spectacular castle, 19th century street and numerous cottages from all around Ireland relocated here provides a real insight into the Irish way of life in days gone by.
Ailwee Caves - Ireland's premier showcase comprises of guided tours of the cave, craft shop and restaurant and there is also a Bird of Prey Centre nearby.
Aran Islands - Rich in the language, culture and heritage of Ireland, a place to sense the spirit of Gaelic Ireland and a touch of the past.
The Burren National Park - Is approximately 4000 acres in size, it is world renowned for its flora and fauna and spectacular limestone landscape. It also holds Poulnabrone Dolmen, an ancient burial site amongst many other attractions.
Burren Perfumery - Visitors can see a free audio visual of the Burren, view the distillation and soap making areas, visit the herb garden and organic tea rooms.
Cliffs of Moher - These world famous majestic cliffs rise up to 214 meters above the Atlantic Ocean, as well as viewing the cliffs there is an interpretive centre, craft shop and tea room.
Coole Park - Home of Lady Gregory, dramatist, folklorist and co-founder of the Abbey Theatre. This National Park & Wildlife Centre close by features an exhibition area, beautiful walks, restaurant and picnic area.
Galway City - 40 minute drive into this creative and very lively 'City of the Tribes' with its many festivals throughout the year, theatres, pubs, restaurants, nightlife and shopping. It's a fascinating place to walk through the meandering medieval narrow streets and soak up the bohemian atmosphere and pop into some of its famous places like the 'Kings Head' or 'Roisin Dubh' (Black Rose), McSwiggans pubs. It has an abundant supply of fantastic restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets and it even has a world famous fish & chip shop called McDonaghs off its premier street - Shop Street.
