Behind Tornby Strand you will find the small town Tornby, which offers the essential groceries. If you wish to choose from a larger selection, you can go to Hirtshals (4 km), which contains shops, restaurants, an active harbour and sights.
The beach is child-friendly, but holes in the sandy bottom as well as current can occur.
Year round, the beach as well as the dune plantation Tornby Klitplantage invites walks along the marked paths. The wind provides good conditions for windsurfing here.
