This Portuguese Quinta is in the middle of Portugal, on the slopes of the Serra da Estrela, 60 km from Coimbra and located next to the historic town Aldeia das Dez (650 m high). Retaining many authentic elements, the Quinta has been renovated and made into a comfortable 'country house hotel' with atmosphere, also including 4 holiday homes. Guests staying at the holiday houses can make use of all the facilities of the hotel, including the magnificently located, luxurious swimming pool with separate children’s pool, the restaurant and a comfortable lounge, where you can enjoy a good glass of Portuguese wine by the fireplace. Separate meeting spaces are available for training programmes, presentations and courses. The Quinta is also a fine destination in the winter. The 18th century Quinta is located on its own 7 hectares of terraced land. The terraces, where many fruit trees are to be found, are fenced off by grape vines. The view across the mountains and woods is spectacular. Coimbra (85 km away) is one of the oldest cities of Portugal, with a university whose first traces date back to the 14th century. A place like Viseu (70 km away) is also worth visiting. Aldeia das Dez, also called ‘the flower village,’ is a protected historical village with a truly authentic Portuguese atmosphere. Around Aldeia many of the original Roman footpaths have been preserved, due to which the area is especially suited for hiking and visiting the villages and cities with various weekly markets. A magnificent 18-hole golf course is an hour away from the hotel by car.
