Castle Ooijen is situated amidst the beautiful north-Limburg nature. Dating from the 14th century and bordering on a moat with gorgeous rose gardens, you will think you travelled back in time. The castle (with 3 floors) has been fully renovated and divided in 10 atmospheric apartments with authentic details with all modern comforts. There is a camp site behind the castle. You can use the camping facilities like the heated outdoor pool with a 40m slide and the tennis courts.
There are various walking and cycling paths in direct proximity of the castle, which will lead you to the nicest spots. Discover the famous asparagus and rose culture of North Limburg. Taste nature too: spoil yourself with a gargantuan meal in one of the many restaurants. Castle Ooijen is also located near many tourist attractions such as the castle gardens and the Thermal Baths in Arcen, the regional museum de Locht in Horst and Zoo Park Overloon. Children will have fun in the indoor play park Toverland in Sevenum. And in an hour's drive you are in Warner Bros Movie World and Phantasialand in Germany. Warmly recommended!
