Located in the heart of the so-called ôCrete Senesiö (the forests and villages around Siena province), this traditional medieval mill has been transformed into a rural hotel with working farm (Agritourism) featuring 5 apartments. It is located close to the Rapolano thermal spa and Serre di Rapolano village.
Guests may make use of the swimming pool that is off the premises, a garden area with furniture, children’s play area, washing machine, wood burning oven, barbecue and mountain bike hire. The estate produces and sells truffles, organic extra virgin olive oil and organic fruit and vegetables.
Guests may take a guided nature tour or go for a bike ride. The kind owners are always at hand to provide helpful assistance. The apartments vary in size and have been constructed in full respect of the original architecture. They are furnished in the traditional, regional style. In the estate wine cellar, guests may opt to take a week long wine tasting course, run by Alessandro (a qualified sommelier) or just discover the traditional flavours of the region with a tasting of local wines. Nearby, at the Rapolano thermal spa guests can enjoy any number of treatments or relax in the thermal pools (also open after dinner and with discounts on the entrance fee and treatment costs). A visit to the close-by Etruscan burial site ôIl Molinelloö can also be organised on request. The property also makes the perfect base for visiting Siena, Arezzo and the rest of Tuscany.
