This 150 year old Bregenzerwälder mountain hut is located in the municipality of Hittisau/Bregenzerwald, in a magnificent, sunny and quiet location at an altitude of ca. 900m. The living quarters have been lovingly decorated and fully renovated to a comfortable cottage where the authenticity and cosiness of the mountain hut was definitely preserved.
In all tranquillity, without neighbours, you finally have some time for yourself! Enjoy your friends and family amidst nature. Signposted walking routes at different levels invite you to make a nice walk directly from your mountain hut. The brilliant mountain biking routes ensure a varied active programme. Despite its location amidst the mountains, you can reach the villages in a few kilometres.
The mountain hut Hinterm Berg can only be reached via an asphalted toll road. You pay EUR 4.--/toll per car per week. You will find a parking space directly in front of the cottage.
If you stay more than 3 nights in this mountain hut, you will receive the free Bregenzerwald-guest card. This allows you free use of public transport and cable cars ! This card also gives free entrance to outdoor pools and discounts with various shops who subscribe to this card.
All sport enthusiasts should not miss a visit to the Aqua-Mountain health centre with a large indoor swimming pool (9 km), Nordic-Walking centre (5 km), an outdoor centre (10 km) and the sun garden at the Subersach (20 minutes)!
