In the surrounding you can make boat trips and take wonderful walks in the woody area of Özdere, or go fishing and diving. Then you can visit the old town Ephesus, dating from the 14th century. Here you can visit the old baths, arena's and the famous library. In the neighbourhood of Ephesus lies an old pilgrimage resort; here you can view the house of the holy Maria. This is also worth a visit.
