The Essener Skihütte (around 350 m²) is beautifully situated, right in the forest and near the quaint town centre of Willingen. The house is in a quiet location on a large lot of 6000 m², in the middle of the woods, but you can reach the centre of Willingen in 3 minutes by car. The Essener Skihütte is ideal for sport clubs, groups of friends, family reunions, company get together, etc.
The house has a large barbecue with grill area where you can barbecue in the evening with the entire group and enjoy the atmosphere of the campfire. You can also relax on the large terrace near the house, while the children play in the playground, play football or volleyball on the sport field or, in less favourable weather, entertain yourself during a game of table tennis or table football.
The Essener Skihütte is the ideal starting point for going mountain biking, hiking, skiing or cross country skiing. A lockable ski and bicycle storage in the house is at your disposal. There are 3 ski lifts, a summer toboggan run, a climbing hall, playing field, tennis court and the Vis à Vis après-ski hut near the house.
In Willingen you can also visit the skating rink, the subtropical swimming pool, the glassworks, the mine, which is specially open for visitors, and the wilderness/fairy tale park.
