Ferry boat trips will take you across to the neighbouring village of Appledore, famed for its quaint fisherman's cottages and variety of inns and maritime museum. Westward Ho!, 4 miles, offers a dramatic stretch of sandy beach, a popular location for keen surfers, and with seaside village amenities, pony trekking, Burrows golf course, and nearby leisure centre, there is much to keep you entertained.
