Standing alone in an elevated rural position on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park, this traditional 19th-century farmhouse takes full advantage of the panoramic views over the Dee valley towards Cairn o' Mount and Mount Keen. Pine-lined walls and ceilings in the principal rooms combine with contemporary facilities to provide comfortable accommodation with a reminder of bygone country living; there is even an old drover's road passing by the door. The area is renowned for its superb fishing and golf. There are restaurants and shops in Aboyne (4miles), and many NTS properties, including Crathes Castle and garden. The property is ideal for dogs, although visitors should bear in mind that the owners keep poultry and there are sheep in the nearby fields.
