Many excellent walks surround the village with Tideswelldale, Millers Dale and the 'plague' village of Eyam within 4 miles. Buxton and Bakewell are both 8 miles. Chesterfield with its crooked spire, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Dovedale and the caves at Castleton are all an easy drive. Shop and pub 100 yards.
