Seaton Court (IMZ) and Seaton Cottage (IQH) are part of a stunning conversion of former servants' quarters and stables adjoining Seaton Hall. First mentioned in the Domesday survey, this ancient house is situated in the middle of its own park and farmland of 70 acres with some 24000 recently planted native woodland trees. The properties share with Seaton Hall extensive cottage gardens and lawns, and topiary with beautiful views. There are themed walks through the Pendulum Gardens where unique original cosmic art features can be admired. It is possible to book garden, art and antique appreciation holidays at cost by arrangement with the owner. The surrounding countryside is a walker's paradise with cliff-top walks along the coast and numerous deserted public footpaths alongside streams, through ravines and bluebell woods, and up onto the nearby moors. Seaton Court has been formed using a combination of existing barns and an early servant's dwelling and centred on a great hall with double height vaulted timber ceiling. Exposed stone wall, and stone, oak and wide boarded pine flooring with Persian carpets and tribal rugs are used to enhance its character. Seaton Cottage is suitable for up to four people, but can be booked in conjunction with Seaton Court for larger groups. There is a pub serving food at the end of the fields and the little fishing village of Staithes which are both only a 15-minute walk. Staithes provides a doctors surgery, pubs, restaurants, tea shops, post office, butchers, art gallery, antiques shop, museum and a convenience store.
