On an island accessed via a causeway, the house boasts its own private jetty; boat hire and ghillies are available locally. For those interested in moving off the island, Galway and Westport are worth the drive, while Connemara boasts spectacular scenery. Closer to home, the pretty village of Cong and Ashford Castle are within easy striking distance. Headford is a lively village and has many pubs with music and craic. Golfers and fishermen are also spoilt for choice in this area. Pubs 0.5 miles, shops and restaurants 6 miles.
