Oaktree 3, Park Farm in Wortwell, near Harleston sleeps 4 people. Conveniently situated between the market towns of Bungay and Harleston, these attractive properties (refs 19982, 30235 [Park Farmhouse]
) are set at the edge of the owner’s 6 acre farm, adjacent to the A143. Park Farmhouse dates back over 400 years and is a listed building retaining many unique historic features, with some of the timbers dating back 800 years. Originally built for the local mayor, the farmhouse was once the village bakery and the original bread oven is still in the dining room – it then became a riding school. Beamed throughout, with original herringbone brick flooring in the dining room, it has two woodburners and a well-equipped bespoke kitchen with a range cooker. Oaktree 1, 2 and 3 are all single storey properties with lots of character. Fishing is available on request at the owner’s 4½-acre fishing lake, 2 minutes walk away (at cost). With separate drive and courtyard gardens, the properties have been converted and furnished to a very good standard. There is easy access to the country city of Norwich
