In the heart of the North Yorks Moors National Park, 7 cottages are nestling in the beautiful valley of Rosedale, with scenery normally found on calendars and paintings. These cottages have been renovated from old hay barns and stables on the family run working farm. The spectacular heather clad moors around Rosedale are a sight to be seen. The area is a treasure trove of exploration to suit everyone's taste. Delve into the history of York, Castle Howard, Rievaulx Abbey and Terraces, Whitby, Captain Cook, and the famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway used for the filming of 'Heartbeat' and 'Harry Potter'. Explore fishing villages dotted along the coast, Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay, Staithes, Flamborough Head Cliffs where you can see the puffins. Visit the seaside resorts of Scarborough, Filey and many more. There are some brilliant golf courses in the area, details can be obtained from the owner on request. Horse riding and bike hire is available locally in the village. There are many good restaurants locally and Whitby fish and chips are not to be missed. If you enjoy walking you can go in many directions from Rosedale.
