Berrynarbour: A particularly pretty little village (frequent winner of best kept village award) with church, good pub, PO/shop, tea rooms, whitewashed cob cottages, many thatched, a mile from the coast (cliffs, coast path, coves) and 2 miles from Combe Martin. Golf at Ilfracombe (smallish resort town), about 2 miles. Woolacombe's great sand/surf beaches, about 7 miles. Exmoor National Park, 5 miles. ... beside a quiet lane, a mile from Berrynarbour, mile from the sea and 2 miles from the nearest beach, on high ground and surrounded by farmland, a fine, large, detached house with superb panoramic views (see above) along the coast. Gravelled driveway to one side and a completely enclosed lawn garden (table/chairs, barbecue), sheltered by hedgerow and trees, at the back. Inside, the living room is on the first floor to take full advantage of the splendid views; floor-level arched windows on the seaward side, high arched wood ceiling and open fire make this a very pleasant room. On the ground floor is a smart fitted kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer) with table and chairs at the window end, looking out to sea across fields; dining room with inglenook (ornamental) full of potted plants; twin bedroom with en suite bathroom (suite). Back upstairs (stairgates), three further bedrooms - a double plus single with sea views, another double, and a bunk room, all prettily decorated. Bathroom (corner bath, suite plus bath-shower). Four bedrooms in all, each with own TV. Double garage (washing machine, tumble drier). Payphone. An extremely comfortable family house, very private and peaceful.
