Stabling can be arranged with the owners, for guests wishing to bring their own horses, with use of indoor menage. Countryside walks from the door, or more energetic pursuits on Dartmoor National Park, easily reached by car. Holsworthy, 2½ miles, holds weekly farmers markets selling local home grown produce and crafts. Bude is a must for beach lovers and surfers, just a short drive. Golf, fishing and horse riding can all be found locally. Sailing and other watersports at Tamar and Roadford lakes, both within 10 miles. For family fun The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Parks are close by and Rosemoor RHS Gardens, Dartington Crystal Factory and the famous Eden project are all within easy reach. Shops 2 miles, pub ½ mile.
