Port Isaac is a similar distance away from the well known coastal resort of Rock with its shops, bars, restaurants and sailing. Picturesque Padstow lies close by and is characterised by quaint streets and slate houses that cluster round the working fish harbour, together with its famous Rick Stein restaurants and bistro. From Padstow harbour, boats offer cruises in Padstow Bay and a ferry trip across the estuary to Rock can be made. Forming part of the Camel Trail, the 5-mile Padstow to Wadebridge stretch offers cyclists a level route that passes by Pinkson Creek, a habitat rich in bird life. Tintagel, with its mystical castle is but a short drive away, and Bodmin Moor also lies within easy reach.
