The English Riviera, Paignton and Torquay offer a famous zoo, sandy beaches, steam railway and the fishing port of Brixham. Exmoor National Park with its Exmoor ponies, red deer and purple heather is also within driving distance. For outdoor enthusiasts there are many excellent scenic walks, as well as sailing, fishing, horse riding and golf, all available locally.
