Budleigh Salterton: Small, civilised (because mostly pebbles instead of sand) seaside town beside the River Otter (bird-watching). Popular place to live. Best golf course in South Devon. Tennis, sea fishing, windsurfing, bowls, croquet. Lovely farmed and heathland hills just inland, and another good golf course. Nearby Bicton Gardens are beautiful; Exmouth , 4 miles. ... a detached 1950s house, like a child’s drawing of a doll’s house, in Budleigh Salterton just 200 yards from the coast path, 300 from the beach, and with the town centre and a good pub usefully around the corner. Parking for one car in private lay-by in front and, at the back, up a few steps, pretty, secluded, raised south-facing walled courtyard (trellis/climbing plants, flowering tubs, table/chairs, barbecue, outbuilding with washing machine, tumble drier, loo). Inside, small hall off which comfortable double aspect living room (‘living flame’ gas fire, music centre); fitted kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer) with doors to living room and courtyard. Stairs (handrail) up to two double bedrooms (one with TV, washbasin) and bathroom (suite plus hand-shower). No smoking.
