It is set in 500 acres of farmland, mainly dairy and arable (you are welcome to watch the milking); the friendly farming owners live in the wing. Extensively refurbished, the manor house is a marvellous place for family gatherings of all kinds: huge amounts of space, the biggest games room we have seen, original features of the house retained - fine beams, granite fireplaces.

Beside the forecourt are 1 acres of enclosed children's play garden, mainly mown grass with excellent wooden equipment (climbing frame, sandpit, swing, slide), also a sunken trampoline. The garden stretches around the back of the house to terracing where steps lead down to a huge gravelled courtyard (also enclosed) with wooden tables, chairs, barbecue.
