The cottage offers a quiet and restful setting, as well as charming scenery. The town of Ballyshannon grew up on the steeply rising banks of the Erne, where the river becomes tidal.

The property is close enough to stroll into town or wander down the quiet roads to the ruins of the Abbey Assaroe with its many ancient headstones. Local activities include angling, bowling, golf, surfing and horse riding, with an excellent choice of coastal walks, and beaches at Bundoran, Murvagh and the excellent strand at Rossnowlagh.
